It was a weekend of monumental moments from beginning to end. The 10th anniversary of Austin City Limits Festival proved to be epic and highlighted such acts as Kanye West, Stevie Wonder, Foster the People, Skrillex, Arcade Fire, and many more.

Over 130 band performed at the sold out festival Sept. 16-18 at Zilker Park where the rain Gods let up and showered festival goers with welcomed bursts of light showers.

Friday

The Secret Sisters were among the first bands kick off the festival. Sisters Laura and Lydia Rogers are Americana's newest sweethearts. The sisters performed a wholesome set with harmonic folk music at the Google+ stage.

Performing songs off of their self-titled album, The Secret Sisters wooed the crowed with their songs "Tennessee Me," "Why Don't You Love Me," and more.

On the other end of the park, singer and songwriter Brandi Carlile drew thousand of fans to the AMD stage where Carlile performed an energetic set of melodic alternative country and indie rock songs. Carlile, who was ecstatic to be performing at ACL, wowed the crowd with catchy tunes and her sultry voice. In addition to performing her own songs, Carlile, sang rousing Johnny Cash covers, "Jackson" and "Folsom Prison Blues."

Performing after Carlile, James Blake's performance was quite disappointing. Blake's ambient/dubstep set was not up to par with the hype that surrounds the musician.

Big Boi fans began waiting for the hip hop artist's pumped up set which included songs from his days Outkast. His set really had the crowd going and was the first of the days shows to really energize the audience.

Interacting with the audience, Big Boi even took audience requests and brought dancers up on stage.

One of the highlisghts of Friday included overwhelmingly popular Indie band Foster the People. The crowd was immense at the Google+ stage while the band performed and younger fans pushed their way while pumping their fists in the air.

As soon as Foster the People broke out their hit single "Pumped up Kicks," the crowd screamed with joy and began jumping up and down to the beat while singing along with the band. Instead of just simply performing "Pumped up Kicks," the band, who also performs DJ sets, mixed the original song into The Highweights Remix version of the song.

Headliners for the night included Coldplay and Kanye West. The latter stole the show and the audience from Coldplay who playrd a mediocre set and crowd members were drawn over to see Kayne West on the other side of the park.

Kanye's performance was amazing which he began from atop a raised platform in the center of the massive crowd. Divided into three acts, the crowd was pleased to hear songs "Power," "Jesus Walks," "Monster," and "Flashing Lights" suring his 90-minute set.

Saturday

After a long day on Friday, I skipped out on some of the earlier shows of the day. Stealing the show for the day was Sonny Moore, better known as the DJ by the name of Skrillex

Skrillex, whose dubstep mixing skills had the Google+ stage blasting music throughout the park.

The crowd for Skrillex was immense and overwhelming. Everyone was jumping up and down to the beat, but being in the front row was an experience all on its own.

One hour before his set, attendees rushed the stage to stake their claim on the front row. Lots of people had to be carried over the guardrail to escape the the crushing crowd and a few people passed out from dehydration including one girl who had came from Phoenix to see Skrillex 20 minutes before he hit the stage.

Aside from the immense crowd, Skrillex blasted "Scary Monsters and Nice Sprites," "Promises," Benny Benassi's "Cinema," his remix of Deadmau5's "Some Chords," Afrojack's "Take Over Control," and more.

One of the highlights of Skrillex's set was a cute 6-year-old, Jack, who came on to the stage and performed some mad dance skills. Skrillex even picked up Jack and let him say hi to the crown on the mic.

After Skrillex, Cee Lo Green took to the Bud Light stage and performed a wide variety of both his songs, songs from his days at Gnarles Barkley, and even some other artists songs.

Always charming the crowd, Cee Lo wooed the crowd when he invited local Austin singer Nakia to the stage to perform "Fuck You," the song that Nakia first performed on NBC's The Voice.

Headliners for the night were My Morning Jacket and Stevie Wonder.
