Students interested in mentoring and tutoring could earn $1,100 in tuition vouchers. The "Texas Campus Compact – Students in Service" grant is funding a scholarship that requires students to complete 300 hours of community service at public schools. Upon completion of the hours the student will be given the scholarship which they can use at any public college or university.
The focus of the tutoring will be in math and science at the high school level. Students from all majors are invited to apply. Students will have one year to finish the 300 service hours. Interested students should contact Dr. Giao Phan, chair of the Educational Instruction Department, at 512-223-9228.
