Learning lab tutors to meet, collabotrate

Learning Lab Managers will hold their yearly tutoring conference at the Eastview Campus on Feb. 18.

The conference, "Success by Design: A Collaborative Approach to Student Retention," will offer 35 presentations on topics ranging from stoichiometry to developmental writing.

Tutors will have the opportunity to meet colleugues from other departments, as well as add credentials toward their College Reading and Learning Assocation certification, according to Bill Cheek, Learning Lab manager at the Riverside Campus, roughly 300 people are expected to be in attendance.

"The conference is a way to improve our tutoring," said Cheek.
