The ACC Chapter of Texas Association of Chicanos in Higher Education (TACHE) was forced to postpone the first ever Golf Fiesta Team Scramble, because of bad weather.
Shari Rodriquez, President of the ACC chapter of TACHE, said "the greens were unplayable," because of heavy rains. The golf tournament was originally scheduled for Oct. 27 but has been moved to Nov. 13.
The tournament will be at Riverside Golf Course and will begin with a shotgun start at 8 a.m.. There will be an award ceremony at 1:30 p.m..
"We'll take registrations up to Nov. 11," said Rodriquez. Registration costs $75 per person or $300 per foursome.
"The money from the tournament will go toward Hispanic student scholarships here at ACC," said Rodriquez.
