Weekend College program expands up to 3,576

Enrollment in the Weekend College Program is up 36 percent from last year, bringing the total number of students attending a weekend class this semester to 3,576. "We've actually had classes on the weekends now for at least a decade," said Charles Quinn, Dean of Business Studies, but he explains that "The push to really promote Weekend College and expand it has been going on for about three years now.

Cypress Creek Campus Grows

The official grand opening of Austin Community College's Cypress Creek Campus Building 2000 was held on March 2. The event was attended by a large group of campus employees, Cedar Park and Leander city officials, and the public. The crowd filled the new plaza that was created in between the new and old building.

Kickin' it with Barefoot Larry

Larry Rodriguez is no different from your run-of-the-mill Austin Community College student. He is open minded and is the tangible version of "Keep Austin Weird." An avid aficionado of "The Three Stooges," Rodriguez introduces himself as "Larry with the Moe haircut.
