Over 100 bands, comedians and entertainers showed up at this year's annual Fun Fun Fun Fest during the first weekend of November.
Fans gathered at Waterloo Park to enjoy punk legends reunite, wrestling matches and yes, even some booty popping dancing.
New to this year's festival was the addition of a third day added to the line up and next year even more changes will have to take place as Waterloo Parxk will be closed for renovations.
The reviews and photo slideshows below are just a sample of the best bands and entertainers who performed at Fun Fun Fun Fest this year.
Friday, Nov. 5
Magnifico: A guy wearing a purple spandex bodysuit singing Queen tunes is the best way to start a festival. He's no Freddy Mercury but close enough.
Todd Barry: This comedian seemed bitter to be there. He did have to compete with the soundcheck at the next stage, but he did slip in some laughs.
The Apples in Stereo: This band brought in the cuteness with the adorable indie tunes complete with matching silver outfits.
Chris Hardwick: He was loud, obnoxious and hilarious with his jokes about rednecks, geek fighting and first world problems.
"Weird Al" Yankovic: He performed for two hours which was an endurance test but the costumes, the Storm Troopers, & video clips made up for it.
Saturday, Nov. 7
Royal Forest: The local band formally known as Loxly provided a warm opening Saturday morning on the Orange stage with their head bobbing indie tunes.
Black Congress: Even though the power cut off during a song, the guys didn't skip a beat and started right where they were left off. Complete professionals.
Jeff the Brotherhood: This garage duo consists of two brothers. Skipping the introduction, they went straight to the point which was rocking out.
Butcher Bear and Charlie: Butcher Bear is a bear behind the turntables. Charlie is a real-life singer providing the voice. Confused? So am I but it works.
Valient Thorr: All I have to say about this head-banging hard rock band on the Black stage: There was hair everywhere.
Wavves: This hipster band is a love 'em or hate 'em kind of band. Me personally? I have a soft spot for them. It's cute, jangly simple garage rock.
Slick Rick: How did that man keep all that bling around his neck? How did it not move or clank around? These are the mysteries of life ICP needs to ask.
The Casualities: One of the old school punk rock bands that showed the noobs exactly how punk rock is supposed to be done.
Big Freedia: One of the most talked about performance during the entire fest. There was booty shaking everywhere. Simply said.
Matt Bearden: One of the hilarious comedians during the festival, this local cracked everyone up with his insensitive jokes about fatherhood.
Gwar: This band is total gimmick with their costumes, fake blood splattering at the crowd and on-stage craziness but it's amusing to watch though.
MGMT: It was amusing to see the herd of people running towards the stage when MGMT started playing "Kids." We didn't run, just walked briskly.
Bad Religion: They announced they've been playing for 30 years. That's longer than how long most of the Accent editors have been alive. They still got it.
Sunday, Nov. 7
Mother Falcon: Using cellos, violins and brass instruments instead of basses and electric guitars, this band brought a modern classical welcome to Sunday.
Peelander Z: This band's on-stage antics include crowd-walking, climbing the stage, yelling things in Japanese. Couldn't tell you what they sounded like.
Mariachi El Bronx: Side-project for The Bronx. But you got to see them live with their punk-inspired garb. The album is good but the live show is better.
Nortec Collective Presents: Bostich & Fussible: Two guys with iPads, a trumpet player and an accordion player should not work. But it does and it's awesome. An awesome dance party.
The Bronx: Out of the mariachi gear and back to their hardcore roots, this band rocked the Black Stage, not letting their hangover phase them.
The Descendents: What do you say about The Descendents? It's the Descendents. I never thought I would see this geeky punk rock band live.
