On Oct. 2, this year's official comic 24 Hour Comics Day, artists flocked to local comic book stores Capstone Comics and Dragon's Lair, where they suffered through the pains of writer's blocks, lack of sleep and hand aches to attempt to create a comic book within 24 hours.

The Accent team withstood with them through the creative process, literally speaking. Staff writer Odin Amador recorded the event while he battled against the clock to finalize his own 24-page comic book at Dragon's Lair as Staff Photographer Adrienne Sparks photographed the event. Staff Reporter Diana Leite filmed and photographed the highlights at Capstone Comics.

The day-long drawing marathon resulted in finished and unfinished comic books and artists in need of sleep and a shower.

Below are a video and photo slideshow documenting the event.
