ACC student arrested for child pornography

An Austin Community College student has been arrested and is being charged with possesion of child pornography.

An arrest warrant for the ACC student was issued on Oct. 13 by Travis County Justice of the Peace Court Precinct 5 for possession of child pornography.

The pornography was found on a flash drive lost on Eastview campus. ACC police found the flash drive and accessed the information in an attempt to find the owner’s contact information. The police then discovered the pornographic material as well as the student’s resume.

The student was arrested when he went to pick up the flash drive.

Bond has been set at $7,500.

KVUE.com is reporting that the student is 23-year-old Kanok Li and that his flash drive contained a seven and a half minute video of a girl around 8 or 9 years old.

It's good to see a pedophile off the street even if he was a student at ACC. I feel forced to ask though, did the police use the reasoning of finding the contact information as an excuse to completely disregard this persons privacy and start opening videos up? If so, the officers who did this don't EVER deserve to ever wear a badge and represent "law enforcement." Or maybe they do. Hmmmmmmm
