Hello, my name is Anastasiya Travina and I am the current ACC Student Government Association president. I came to ACC almost two years ago as an international student. It's been a wonderful year of working as president of ACC Student Government. I had an opportunity to fulfill my goals - to serve the community, to become acquainted with American culture, and to contribute to the student body of the country, where I'm getting the finest education in the world.

One the main issues from my last year's platform was the parking lot problem on ACC campuses. Throughout the entire year, we have been collaborating with the ACC administration in order to resolve this problem. As a result, ACC is currently working on the parking lot construction project Rio Grande Campus. Another goal of mine was to foster the student body involvement in college administration process. We have successfully recruited new Senators and student body representatives who come from different backgrounds and who work to resolve the main issues of students' life at ACC and to channel student concerns to the appropriate authorities.

This year, I will concentrate all efforts on such important issues of students of ACC as: safety, college retention, and students' success in college - both academic and social. I do acknowledge that a lot of ACC students have jobs, families, and other responsibilities that make their lives even more complicated. Therefore, I do believe that it is important to make the class schedules more flexible, to make the registration process easier, to make the tuition more accessible, to make ACC campuses safer, and to make the college experience of ACC students more FUN!
