Contract awarded for parking expansion at South Austin The board approved to award a contract to expand the parking garage at South Austin Campus by one level and one half, with hydraulic elevators, to SpawGlass Contractors. Board members moved forward in April's regular meeting to approve the project, instead of delaying until May, due to concerns that the expansion may not be completed by the fall semester. The project, originally approved in December, is expected to be finished before classes resume.

District boundaries changing in Bastrop A report was presented on college priorities regarding legislation in the state government. The Board, which is responsible for approving such priorities, has endorsed an initiative to bring in all of Bastrop County ISDs area into ACC's service area. Under the proposal, a small section of Elgin ISD in Lee County and outside the ACC service area is to be assigned to ACC through a mutual agreement with Blinn College, which is to receive some of Lexington ISD's area in Bastrop County, outside Blinn College's service area. The majority of Elgin and Lexington ISD's area are in Bastrop and Lee County, respectively, with the college service districts planned accordingly. Blinn College has endorsed the change.
